It is better known as cocoa and its history can be traced back to the Mayan civilizations. Come grow and learn as we discover the fascinating ecology and history of this plant with special guest Melanie Feltmate.
Participants will taste a fresh cacao seed pod, peel and grind up roasted cacao seeds, taste-test Aztec and Spanish versions of chocolate and, best of all, make their own mystery chocolate snack!

Cost is $5 for Garden Members and $15 for nonmembers.
