Grow and Learn Program

Grow and Learn- St. George Village Botanical Garden's series of hands-on workshops. The workshops are held on the third
Friday of each month in the Pavilion at the Bodine's Visitors Center from 3pm-5pm. Past workshops include learning how to
properly prune plants and making tequila from agave. Fee is $5 for members and $15 for non (become a member at the event
and save $10!)  Call 340-692-2874 for more information.

September 18th- “Making Natural Dyes”
This month the garden is featuring Yemaya Jones, an expert textile designer who has studied natural dying all over the United States. 
Ms. Jones will demonstrate how to make your own natural dyes from plant material, and will discuss theories of the "slow fiber"
movement and dying your own clothes. Registration is essential - call 340-692-2874.

October 16th- “Permaculture 101”
This month the Garden welcomes members of the Virgin Island Sustainable Farming Institute. They will give an introduction to
permaculture, the design system the farm was built on, that fuses traditional and modern knowledge to produce an abundant landscape
and living space. Come grow and learn from these permaculture experts!
