Calling all inquisitive kids to the St. George Village Botanical Garden’s “Second Saturday” program on October 13th!
Participants will be observing bugs both in aquatic habitats and on land. Our Second Saturday Insectigation is going to discover out what insects eat, where the live, how they survive and what makes them important to us.
Participants will be catching bugs, making bug models to take home, and maybe even eating bugs! This workshop is bound to leave you buzzing, so don’t miss out!
Children ages 6 and up are invited and must be accompanied by an adult to encourage learning and explorations of the Garden together. Space for the workshop is limited, so call 692-2874 to register.
Workshops costs $5 per child and per member, and $8 for nonmember adults.
Second Saturday is a program for children and their parents that was created by board member Marilyn Chakroff. Started in January 2008, it is held from 9 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of each month in the Bodine Visitor’s Center at the St. George Village Botanical Garden.
